Default 2010 XK front brake question

I'm about to do a front brake rotor and pad replacement and am needing to know what size hex wrench to us to remove the caliper bolts. A 8mm feel loose and a 10mm is to large. I've never seen a 9mm and I don't want to risk stripping the bolt head. Is there a special tool? Never had this issue with my 01 XK8.
Thanks

No special tool mentioned in the workshop manual, but it doesn't specify the bolt size either.

Default XK front caliper removal hex tool

I determined that the hex bit (socket) needs to be a 9mm. They are not usually included with hex bit sets. However Amazon has both 3/8" and 1/2" drive hex bits for use with impact tools. These are longer than the non impact version and give the necessary clearence. I found them to be just what was needed.
