Hi all, I have a 1997 DD6 x300 / x330 that was first reg in japan November 1997. It has model 308 factory fitted bumpers front and back with clear rear tail light lenses ,v12 on a pillows and inlaid in dashboard also a gold plaque on its dashboard celebrating the last v12 made. After hours of research i cant find another DD6 X300 like it, The first x308 was September 1997. Can you help me with info on the engine number of the last v 12 in the jaguar museum which was made 17th march 1997 or any other help please regards Richard

Jaguar Heritage Trust ?? Not sure if that is the correct name but they most likely have the info you are looking for. Google them for contact info.

Jaguar Heritage Trust, or JDHT is at www.jaguarheritage.com They can research their records for information about your car. They have an interesting photo rotation of the late Norman Dewis on their homepage now.

Right here on Jaguar Forums, we have this thread which features two owners of 1997 Daimler Double Six cars with the "final run" plaque. Member @cumberland 's Sherwood Green LHD Japanese Import/Export, and @milne17 's Topaz RHD car in New Zealand. This is a very exclusive club, Richard.

It seems unlikely that the factory would fit X308 bumpers and lights to an X305. Maybe a previous owner changed them over?

"v12 on a pillows" = "V12 on B pillars", I think.

I have the same only front half of car that came out of Japan with the plague for transplanting into my series II daimler. It was a shame to cut it up but that’s what they do over there.

This is certainly interesting not only because the X308 bumpers but that a V12 X300 was made for the 1997 model year. In the US market '96 was the final year.
