Default Repair Questions 96 XJ12

I recently hit an elevated manhole cover and tore up the front suspension on my 1996 XJ12. If I buy another 95-99 XJ6 or XJ8, can I use the parts from that car on my XJ12? I am not sure if I needed to find another XJ12 due to the weight of the motor. The XJ12's are hard to locate in Florida if you want it just for parts.

Looks like the control arms are the same as other X300s although different arms were used depending on VIN, not engine size.

The 'upright' snd spindle look to be the same

The front subframe is different than the 6 cyl cars....not sure how.

The springs are different becasue the V12 is heavier

So, 'some' of the supension parts are the same, others are not

Cheers
DD

As my friend said to me, now you have one xj12, you better get another for parts. I agree they are like gold dust here in Florida.

I bought 96 xj12 today, in Central Florida. Paint is awful, interior is yuck, but mechanics are good.
Trying to decide, parts car, or paint job and refurbish interior.
I really hate breaking a car, it's like I should be sent to hell. Don't know why I give myself these problems.
