Running hot or not ?
My 96 V12 doesn’t show hot on the gauge but it certainly feels like it’s struggling to keep cool. Fans going more often than not and I think too much pressure in the system. Have checked for exhaust gas in coolant. I know gauges aren’t really accurate is there a code reader that will tell me the water temp ?
Don’t want to start pulling things apart if there isn’t a problem.

I use a generic Bluetooth ELM327 and the "Car Scanner" Android app to get live data including coolant temp. Those data pointed to the previously installed thermostats overcooling on extended downhills.
ELM 327 scanners on E- bay 15 bucks including shipping
The ability for it to see live data depends on software installed by the user be it from the original product inclusion but that is questionable, and I was never able to get the included dick to load
There was a tape that turns colors and stays changed at different temps that may be a very cheap and not software dependent . Automotive would be in the range of 100 degree C
We used them on aircraft engines in a large maintenance operation so if you have a friend that still works for American Airlines..............
