04 xjr has cold air blowing on drivers side
I've been reading a lot about this and it might be the interior temp sensor, where is it located though? It blows ice cold on the two drivers vents and front drivers defrost and feet vents however it blows between warm and hot on passenger side. It never gets too hot tho, just really warm on the passenger side. I'd like to replace the easy stuff first, do these cars have a heater control valve under the hood? Also where is that interior temp sensor located?
Well, to me it sounds like the dreaded heater core blockage. There are many, many threads on the subject in this forum. Do a search for heater core.
You may want to check the aux pump, then maybe try a flush but I wouldn't hold your breath expecting it to be that easy.
Maybe we should all run our heaters hot for an hour a week or something, as this may reduce the build up of gunk in the core?

My 2005 VandenPlas has heating issues. I have noticed (in this cold weather) that the heat is only warm, and the drivers side vent blows cool air on the steering wheel, when I turn the heat temp on to high the blower makes a lot of noise but the air does not come out the vents.....any thoughts?

However with heat coming from some vents and not others I would suspect some jammed "flaps" in the ducting.

Same here.. Found a solution yet?
The driver's side blowing cool air while passenger's side is blowing warm air is an issue I've had 3x in 145,000 miles:
1. First time Jaguar replaced the whole array of blend doors in the dash. 78,000 miles. $2600.
2. Jaguar replaced the heater core and did a flush. 111,000 miles. $1800.
3. I took it to an indy and they back-flushed the system and it worked perfectly. The indy did a computer scan and the blend doors were working fine according to the readout. 129,000 miles. $140.
Good luck.
