Hi All, I need to replace front upper ball joints on a 1998 Jaguar xj8. Can I replace just the Ball Joint or do I need to replace the whole control Arm also best place for parts. Thanks all. Vinman

 

You've posted in the wrong forum ! You need to post in the forum for the X308 series of XJ saloons that finished in 2003, when the cars for this forum started. The suspensions on the two models are completely different albeit of similar design, (wishbones top and bottom). If you look on the SNG Barratt website you'll see that the upper balljoint is available separately. You'll need some means of pressing the old one out and the new one in. No doubt there will be people on the other forum who have done the job and can tell you any tips dos/don'ts
