Default 2004 Jaguar XJR Speaker Buzzing

HELP! Front dash speakers and the tweeters at top of front door near handle, making this buzzing noise. Anyone have a clue as to what's causing it.

Does it happen with just the radio or with the CD/cassette as well?
Is the buzzing coming from both left and right sides?
Is it coming from the woofers in the doors or just the tweeters and mid range speakers on top of the dash?
I know that for the premium sound system with the separate amp in the boot that the front tweeters and mid range speakers on top of the dash are fed from left and right channels which are independent of the front woofers mounted at low level in the doors. So it could be a wiring fault or an amp fault.
Have you checked the audio system modules for codes?

Hey paddyx350,
thanks for responding. Yes it buzzes in every mode. Yes it's both sides and yes it's only the tweeters and mid range dash speaker. No, there are no codes .Is there a way to isolate the amp?

The amp is located on the left hand side of the boot (trunk) as you are looking forward.
Remove the trunk floor panel (two torx screws under the lash down hooks) and then the left hand side trim panel which is only held in place by a twist trim lock just in front of the rear light cluster and a push in plastic trim clip into the roof of the runk.
The amp is mounted on the left hand side forward of the rack which houses the cd changer/sat nav etc.
The top plug in the amp is the one that feeds the eight speaker channels.
There's no way to isolate the left/right channels to the dash mounted midranges and the tweeters separately, all the channels are served by this single plug.
You can download the electrical guide/wiring diagram on this site and check the resistance/continuity of the cables serving the left/right midrange/tweeter wiring at the amplifier plug to see of there's a short to ground/fault there.

Thanks, I found the electrical diagram and I will attempt to track this problem down.
