Default 2004 XJR Restricted Performance

Hello all
I have been chasing this issue since I bought this car in October. I pulled a stored code of P1474 and according to the data base from this sight the issue is Intercooler coolant pump failure.
This led me to the auxiliary water coolant pump next to the radiator which was leaking and corroded. I replaced it, it was dead, and I still got a Restricted Performance error. I have read
about a intercooler water pump that is different than the one I replaced. I this correct? Is this the one that the Bosch 010 is recommended ? If this is correct does any one have any pictures
or write up of its location, and how to access and replace it.
Thank You

There are threads on the forum about what pump you can use to "upgrade".

The IC pump is located on the drivers side behind the radiator.

The aux coolant pump you replaced is on the passenger side.

I went to look for it from the engine compartment but could not see it. Do you know what needs to be moved or removed to access it?
Thank You

Entire air box assembly and intake tube. It should more visible once those items are removed.

I've just replaced my supercharger coolant pump today as I've been getting intermittent P2601 codes for a while, with Restricted Performance mode.

I used a Bosch 0 392 022 002 pump, and am planning to do a write up shortly. You need to remove the radiator splash shield, and the front bumper cover, as it's right down at the bottom of the radiator and needs to be changed from below.

Progress Report
For those that may need to replace there ic pump this may be helpful. For my 2004 XJR the ic pump is on the passenger side lower front side of radiator under the bumper cover that needs to be removed, as well as the electrical connector that needs to be separated and the grill. There were no other nuts/bolts that had to be removed. The car did not have to be raised, or tires removed. What worked for me was to slide a screwdriver from the wheel well into the bumper seam and separate. My lens covers were very tight and to reduce damage risk I would take them off from behind after removing the bumper cover next time. I ordered the Bosch 010 pump as well as the connector, pin, and plug as described in another post. The connector consists of 3 pieces that must be separated, I then measured where to strip the wire based on pin and plug depth. I inserted the plug, soldered and crimped the wire to the pin and installed it into part 1 of connector it has to be completely seated for part 2 to lock the pins in place, this now inserts into part 3 and is now complete. After all this, when I saw the original pump the problem was one wire worked itself out of the plug. I sprayed with cleaner, reinserted and it is working normally. I'm not sure if I will replace it now or later, I may wait and see if it is stable or not. Now I know how to remove the bumper cover, it shouldn't take too long. Hope this helps
