2005 X350 V8 Super Production
Can anyone with a copy of Thorley look up the numbers for my car? There doesn't appear to be a library anywhere in Connecticut which has a copy of any edition.
I have already found out, by scrounging around the forums, that the total X350 sold in the US that year was 8304, but I have no clue how many were the eight cylinder supercharged version.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Richard

Ok, I am back from Taiwan (Thankfully)
So, here are the numbers from Thornleys third edition. Unfortunately it does not split up by year so the below numbers are totals.
[The wording is exactly from the book. It's a little bit strange that they classify the Portfolios are XJRs, but thats what the book says]
XJ8 Super V8 SWB = 1309
XJ8 Super V8 LWB = 943
XJR S/C VDP LWB (Includes Portfolios) = 1277
Daimler Super V8 = 853
Total X350 production number is 83566
So, the Super V8s are pretty rare whichever way you look at it

Sarc;
Thank you very much for your reply.
Wow! Only 1.13% were my model, which I guess means that the dealer was entitled to call it "Extremely Rare", although I'm not exactly sure how one would define that.
Again, thank you, and I am sure that Waterboy is lurking, as well.
Cheers!
Richard
PS: I hope you recover from all those time-zone transits quickly.

Does the Daimler number refer to the X308 body cars?
Daimler Super V8 = 853b
Are the Super SWB from 2004 or were these available only MY03 in England?
XJ8 Super V8 SWB = 1309
Thank you for the infos!
