Default 2006 XJ8 Exhaust Upgrade

Would like to know how to get more of a rumble sound from my XJ8. Not sounding like a Dodge Ram with flowmasters, but yet sounding a bit more beefy. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Default Great Burble

Try You Tube. there are several vidoes covering several systems, although sound quality is variable.

Mina seems popular in the US.
Quicksilver, a UK brand I believe, is supposed to be good. Check-out their website.

Working on something at the moment for my XJR, a friend has an STR with Magnaflow X Pipe ( replaces the center boxes) and then straight pipes back. This set up is a bit loud but sounds nice at start up. I am probably going Mina back boxes with some kind of X Pipe in the middle this should give rumble with out being over the top. This should come out at between

sorry brushed my iPad and sent post, between $1200-$1300 fitted by an exhaust fabricator. A quicksilver will set you back$2000+ my friends cost the princely sum of $500 inc Crome tips. Will let you know how things progress if you could do the same that would be great.

Just watch on You tube a clip of a 2005 XJR with Mina boxes and rear resonator removed, it sounded spot on. Not being an exhaust expert can anyone give me an idea of where to find said resonators and how to remove them?

How would removing the two center resonators sound? Thinking about just doing that as the local muffler shop said that would add a bit of a rumble. Would like your inputs, thanks!

I had the Mina exhaust on my XJR with the centre boxes retained in place and it sounded excellent. Unfortunately our Land Transport Authority (LTA) (similar to the DoT) was not happy that it didn't come with TUV certification and deemed it an illegal modification and I had to remove it.
