ABS/DSC light extinguished.
When I purchased the car it already had the ABS/DSC lights on in the instrument cluster. After reading here on the forums I knew it could have been an expensive repair.
With this knowledge I managed to get a $1000 of the price the dealer wanted. What I also read on the forum is that the ABS could be affected by a dirty ABS sensor, costing nothing to clean or check.
Well, today I got to clean both front ABS sensors, while doing a brake pad swap and low and behold I no longer have the ABS/DSC lights on.
I was just going to order a refurb for the ABS control module and hope that was going to resolve the issue. I am so glad I checked the sensors as suggested on here before spending my cash.
Now, I can spend that money on engine covers and heat shields...
So if you have ABS/DSC issues.... I would always, always suggest cleaning the ABS sensors, front and rear first.
