ABS Problem
I am working on a 2005 XJ Vanden Plas which I acquired a couple of weeks ago. I have sorted a number of issues but a couple remain.
1.My VCM/IDS shows C1165 in the both the ECM and ABS. I went to the right rear wheel sensor and found an aftermarket harness connector (CV8) at the sensor, whoever installed it just twisted the wires together and lost the weather protector--consequently the wires and the connector pins corroded. My problem is the factory harness to which CV8 is connected does not match the diagram in the 2005 XJ Electrical Guide----this shows one Black/Brown conductor(NB) and one Red conductor (R) .The actual harness on my car has one Black and one Brown. My question is: does anyone know of a picture or diagram showing the connector CV8 and the wire colors?
2 My VCM/IDS also shows C2303 Reservoir Plausibility Error in the ASM. I also managed to provoke C2302 Levelling Plausibility Error attempting a calibration. The air pump runs but I can't get at it ----all the metal fasteners seized. I have checked everywhere else and found no leaks and the suspension stays up, so my guess is an airpump rebuild is required. Comments?
Just as a matter of interest this car has the seatback business tables and power rear seats and they all work!!

C2303 is in all probability the comp. piston ring.
A height sensor has 3 wires. One is feedback and the other two are + and -ve.
I have two Electrical guides one is 2004 MY and the other 2006 MY and both show the same
wiring for the RR sensor
BW +
BR Centre connection Input
Bk --
But the connector is shown as CV5 ?
Electrical guides show pin and socket connections

Thanks for your response, but it is the right rear wheel speed sensor which has only 2 conductors and is CV8 that I was asking about.
