air ride suspension

I have an 06 XJ8 on lease. It 's my 3rd XJ and I love the car except its ride is harsher than any XJ I've had. I like the handling fine but the compliance over bumps is too harsh. Any one else feel this way. Dealer tells me there are no adjustments, hard to believe since it has electrical and compressed air connections

i have had that complaint several times.. but only on the XJR or VDP with big rims.. never a normal xj8

Does the air suspension fault light ever come on? It is possible that when car was PDI that it was not put into customer mode. This will cause module to not allow shocks to adjust correctly. It is called transportation mode for when vehicle is shipped. There is no other adjustments. Module does it all and is preprogrammed. Although next time you have it in for service, complain more and ask them to reprogramme module as new. May fix your concern.
