my mother told me that her alarm goes off randomly when she locks the doors --------goes to doctor /hair saloon ---after 10 min alarm goes off --------any sugestions -thanks

 

I'm having the same issue, well WAS having the same issue. I also had a bit of water in my trunk due to a leaking sunroof and clogged drains. Since that all dried out it seems to have stopped. I never investigated any further though. What year/model is your mother's car?

 

it is a standard xj8 -----was made may 03-------------early 04 -------has alpine and electronic pak in center counsole

 

Random alarms on this model is usually the hood alarm switch not making.

There is a switch under one of the bonnet latches and problems can occur when oil from the latch gets into the switch.
You can bridge this switch permanently with a piece of wire.
