Hi all!

I am new to the forum.

I have just purchased a lovely, low-mileage 2003 XJ6 which has just begun displaying the following message (permanently) on the dashboard message display "all lights are off."

Please can someone advise how I stop this message from displaying?
If I set the lights to 'auto' on the stalk, then they're permanently on (which I don't want) but no message is displayed on the dash (which is good!).

Any help, or guidance would be gratefully received.

There is a sensor on the front of the dash that senses ambient light. If it is getting dark outside, that message will appear. Do you have anything blocking this "dome" sensor on top of the dash near the windshield?
