Is there any good Samarithan forumister wishing to donate for free their used and no longer required X350 navigation touch screen, even if it has basic functionality, and has no rear entertainment system etc.?

I am sooooo broke (to buy one myself) and I can't even pay attention :-)

 

Tough situation you're in Seth, I feel for ya. The touch screen is a pricey item, and your best bet (besides a miracle) is a salvage unit. Try Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market, it won't be as much as a new dealer purchase, but it will be still be painfully...I remember a salvage yard telling me they ask about 50% of new, sometimes less with condition. I just checked the web site, and best price I found was $150...not too bad, actually! Good luck.
