Default Auto Up Feature

The power window on the driver's door on my 2007 XJ still has the Auto Down feature but suddenly the Auto Up feature doesn't work. Is that odd that it only works in one direction? LOL but you'd think the damn thing would have a longer life expectancy than just 70K miles.
Cheers

you can reset it. simply close the window completely and let go of the up button. Then, hold up on the up for about 10 seconds. Then just check it. Might as well do the same to all the windows since it is easy and ensures they are all working properly.

They can break a lot of people have had to replace them. My switch broke so took it apart and found it is made of two parts, as they age the tangs holding the one piece down snap due to thin plastic. I found if I held the 2 parts together and wrapped with electrical tape and some glue, then the second click of the button cold be felt again and be one touch once more.

Default It worked. Thank you

Well that was an easy fix. I was able to "reset" the window switch. You saved me a bunch of cash. Many thanks
