Hi guys Can any one help me I have installed b/tooth to my xj 2003 all ready had voice on sat/nav cd player etc They still all work perfect The phone also dials in/out phone book downloaded no prob But it will not accept any voice commands just comes up not reconised any ideas any help would be appreciated Many thanks Ray

 

Probably need to have the voice module re-flashed to the newest version software. That can only be done with the dealer-level diagnostic kit IDS/SDD.

I imagine that the voice module doesn't communicate with the phone module now, bluetooth not being available in 2003.

 

Cambo is correct, of course.

Also, your voice module will obviously need to be able to support the newer software version. You may have to upgrade your voice module to a newer version to integrate with bluetooth given your year (as Cambo keenly pointed out) and the newer software.
