Default Belt latch malfunction

The car is 2004 XJ8VDP US spec.
For all the sudden, the driver's safety belt latch stopped working. It does not latches safety belt buckle. It was working just few minutes ago, I am coming out of store here it is...
No biggie, I will take it apart and fix it...
Have anybody replaced latch? Any word of caution: what not to do? From first cursory look it seems I need to unbolt driver's seat. I do not think I can unbolt latch from seat without loosening the seat.
I can imagine that there is, probably, a way how to take latch plastic covering without removing seat. That way is not for me, I am not a small person and I am not a contortionist.
All suggestions welcome, Thanks in advance!

Did anybody took apart belt buckle? from front seat or any seat for that matter? I am looking for how to get in without doing too much damage

I am pretty sure there is some mechanical issue inside the buckle. I was looking for replacement, Brand new is prohibitively expencive:
From e-bay; they do not have one that fit my application. Very similar from x351, but it is a different part number. For $32 it may be worth the chance, at least learn how to take it apart.
However, did anybody took buckle apart and willing to share experience?

.

I would simply very lightly spritz a bit of something like white lithium grease or penetrating oil into the buckle's slot. I've had to do that on a couple of cars over the years. Give it a spray and click the belt in several times.

@wfooshee It worked! Silly me, dismounted the seat to get to belt buckle. On a + side vacuumed under the seat!
