Default Blinking flashlights Lock/Unlock

I'm trying to understand what normal behavior would look like.

At moment when I lock the car with the remote there is no indication it is locked. That annoys me. So I'd like see the flashlights blink, horn to sound and/or the mirrors to fold. When configuring in the settings menu of the satnav the mirrors will fold when locking, nothing happens. When I fold mirrors manually with the button in the door they do fold.
I do own the SDD/IDS v131 software to configure things, but I don't know exactly where. When I see al dealer options it does like configured as it should be.

One thing I noticed is that there is also no indication on the dashboard that the car is locked. Shouldn't there be a little red led-light to blink? Could it be that the alarm is not functioning at all?

How about when locked with the key, any difference? Does the remote work, or lock things up? Could need a new battery in, or reprogramming of, your remote.

Oh, sorry, Didn't mention that the car locks fine with the remote and manually with the key. I've got the feeling it has to do something with the alarm.

Try to open the door, when all locked, not hard enough to break anything, but like you expect the door to open. Wife tried that once, she jumped back pretty quick as the car went off. Forgot alarm was set once, took a bolt loose, doing something or other, under the hood, that was left open over night, & off the alarm went.

Try pressing the 'lock' button on the fob twice; on my car the first press locks the car and the second folds the door mirrors?

I tried pressing it twice. No (extra) response noticeable at all.
I tried to pull the door handle when the car was locked, no alarm. (I prefer no alarm, but a visual sign the car is locking or locked would be nice)

Shouldn't there be an indication on the car the alarm is active? Can the alarm be somehow disabled permanently?

Yes, the red light on the dashboard flashes continuously until you unlock again. If you stand at each window and lock and unlock your car, you should see the smaller unlock lever (above the inside door handles) open and shut again; any that don't could give you some idea of where to look more closely?

There are numerous very useful posts on this forum - Try typing Central Locking into search?

Ah. With pressing twice, only the righthand mirror folds. The left one tries, but is stuck. Need to clean it. But still no blinking of the flashlights or a LED on the dash.

Folded mirrors will do for me. I just wanted a visual if the car is locked yes/no.
