Default Blower not working any suggestions?

No air through the dash. Removed fan. Checked on/off while connected. Fan started and immediately switched off. removed connector and tested Voltage. 10 v. when turned on then immediately down to 1 volt.
Doesn't seem to be the blower? Any ideas please.

04 XJ8.

I second Rhodietwo, however if this issue is draining the battery than it is the module. I honestly hope not

you just dont know what youre lookinh at. Its mounted in the air duct, has a 4 wire connector that plugs into it, and the part number is c2c 39577 go on a jag parts website and plug in the number and you should get a pic. It has 2 screws that hold it in. The xk is basically the same thing just diff part number and much much cheaper.

Thanks, I did what you suggested and it is called a 'control module'. Is this also known as a relay or resistor? Does the cheaper xk one fit? Thanks for your help.

Yes jaguar likes to call things differant names depending on where youre looking. Yes the xk fits and for some reason those seldom go bad. The xj's all the time

My 2007 XK blower stopped working.....It was the blower control module. Original P/N was 077800-0901 (this basically does the same thing as a good old fashion resistor pack on other cars) There is a replacement with longer cooling fins P/N 077800-1020. I purchased one from Jaguar COLUMBIA (SC) for $204. It is located a little to the left of the blower and slightly higher in the air duct. Two screws hold it in and there is a 4 pin connector to unplug. A little tough to get at but it fixed the problem.

Hi mauifred44,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.

Thank you for contributing, but as Fraser mentioned, you replied to a thread from 2011, so no one else has been monitoring these posts for four years.

Regarding the Blower Control Module, it's a well-known issue and replacing it, repairing it, and rebuilding it have all been covered in other threads. For example here's my post on rebuilding the module with a new power mosfet, thermal cutoff and heat sink with longer fins:
