Brake caliper wind back tool
I'm replacing my rear brakes tomorrow, I can let you know if nobody else replies.
Though in all honesty, these rear calipers with integral parking brake are all very common. I just use wide jaw pliers that fit in the grooves and twist the piston back down. The piston is on a threaded rod, so you don't have to push down, just twist it clockwise and it retracts itself. then again, I won't ever deny that having the right tool for the job is always best.

I'm doing mine in another week or so. I bought a $10 disc brake piston tool from Sears which looks like it should do the job. All it takes is a 3/8 ratchet and an extension bar...to mhamilton's point, just ratchet it back in (at least that's what my plan is
). Let me know how it went.

Can anyone confirm that this tool would work with an XJ8 and X-Type for front and rear brakes?
Sorry on Vacation and just saw this. Review my brake job write up in "How To Section" for more information.
I tried the $10 cube and did not work well for me. Went to OReilly Auto and got the loaner kit and quickly finished the job. Have seen some question whether you wind clockwise or counter clockwise...both driver's side and Passenger side wind back clockwise (I have a 2005 VDP).
Hope that helps someone.
