Hi

I need a rear bumper blade (the chrome thing on the bumper), the locking tab has broken som it wont sit flush anymore.
I have a 05 and see on sng barratt that they have both original and aftermarket. The price difference is around 100pounds or about 50%
Have anyone tried the aftermarket part? I dont want to end up with subpar stuff, but if its good fitment and good quality Its a good saving compared to the original stuff

 

I replaced the fronts on mine and did OEM. For the front at least the bumper needs to come off and it wasn't worth the chance of having to do it again in a few years. But for that price it may be worth going aftermarket.

 

Thank you, yes I think the rear bumper needs to come off to replace the rear as well. Yeah it will be to bad if the quality is bad a needs to be replaced again. ANd then maybe original parts are no longer available. Maybe just do the safe thing and go with original parts..

 

Replaced one of mine a year ago last fall, not cheap.
