Question Cabin Filter?

Which Ford model shares the same cabin filter? The filter is stamped Ford and I was unable to their part number to a model. Auto store needs model to order.

I have been wondering the same thing. The cabin air filter has the only Ford emblem I've found on the whole car, so far!

Its on the side of the latch facing the rear of the car, hidden until it's removed from the door.

If Crown Vic's are for seniors, what does that make XJ drivers?

Picked up a cabin filter today from a local Jaguar dealer parts dept, just $17.50. It's stamped Jaguar and it's charcoal infused. The off-the-shelf cabin filters at the local parts store weren't of the charcoal variety. Cheaper yes, but just plain paper. Another local dealer wanted $30. I like the Jaguar charcoal filters vs other brands because they fill the cabin with a fresh scent that defies description.

The new hood security/alarm switch I ordered directly from Jaguar came in a neat little factory Jaguar box and everystuff....open it up and the part has Ford stamped all over it

Grown up Crown Vic? Hmmm... I have parked my XJ side by side to my Town Car and thought the exterior door handles were quite similar. Lol.

Truth be told....and I'm ready to get smacked....I'd take the Townie anyday on road trips over the XJ.....and I'm only 34 years old.

What does that make me? A senior-wannabe? Ha.

Back on topic, how often do you guys change those pesky cabin filters? Lastly, there are a ton on ebay if you wish to pick one up there.

A number of parts say FORD or FO MO CO on them, as well as Jaguar stamps. The tray table latches, of all things, say FO MO CO.

Oh, and I change the filter once per year.

Jag took a lot of flack for the Ford logos on parts when the S-Type and X-Type were first introduced. They ponied up and fixed it pretty much; except for some well hidden parts. When we and Land Rover went on the block, they didn't care any more. NOW they are a supplier to Jaguar, and they seem to be making a point of sticking the logo on everything they can. Now we're their advertiser.

As I always say.......follow the money!

BTW, GregW is right. The carbon impregnated filter does make a big difference.

According to this description, the Beck Arnley 042-2135 is charcoal infused. The Wix and NPN are just regular paper filters.

EDIT: Nevermind, the Wix is Charcoal Impregnated too.
