Default caliper colour(or color for the US guys)

hay guys wanted to know a good colour to paint my calipers on my 4.2 they are in good nick just a small amount of surface rust so before it spreads just make it look like the classic car it is. I have a silver metallic cant find the name for it my bad and i have the 18inch luxury wheels so you dont see the caliper that much but makes the whole car have a lift. i like the idea of the red with a silver car but not keen on the car looking sporty thats where the 18 luxury come in as only have small random holes

any ideas would be appreciated

I painted my calipers red last year, at that time I tought it was my best choice.
I now think it stands out way too much on a white car.
I will be repainting them silver in a few months, blends in a lot better.

Will have to order new decals also!

Black is always a nice option and you can also add some decaling to the caliper face once you are done something like the following:

Jaguar Hi Temp Cast Vinyl Brake Caliper Decals Stickers Cast Graphics Calipers | eBay

Looks like these guys are located in the UK as well!

I did my calipers in silver but did the carrier brackets in gunmetal. Also did the rotors and backing plates in silver.

yep will ask the wife to choose tonight the colour then pop on ebay or something to get the decals and paint. Had wheels refurbished today so nice new silver wheels demand fresh paint. Guy did a good job charged less than anywhere else, i asked him to be careful jacking due to the aluminum and he had rubber pads. Had shock of my life when came back to car and found it looking like a drag car with the too low message on the dash. But after driving car back and forth in a straight line she lifted again, so hopefully he didnt blow a bag from car being too low. will post some pics of new wheels when rain eases up good old england
