Maintenance, service and things to fix on a 10+ year old X350
I've been to the sticky links, and have downloaded the Owners Manual and the Workshop Manual, but I can't find the recommended service manual or chart. I just purchased a 2004 XJ6 RHD (ex Singapore) where the previous owner verbally told me the work he had done. I want to get a list of all recommended service (typically at a high milestone like 100,000 KM and put that into a spreadsheet, asking the previous owner to tick everything he did in his ownership (of two years). Prior to that from 2011-2017 it sat in a garage in New Zealand, never run through the required Vehicle Inspection, thus I can assume everything prior to 2017 should be ignored.
Typically, the service record has boxes that the dealer stamps that usually die out when the car is out of warranty and service is performed by an Indy. I also am aware that some service intervals are ill advised, like saying the transmission has lifetime fluid.
In the absence of finding something comprehensive, I've made my own start on it, based on my experience and various independent shop lists. Appreciate comments as to what else should be on the list. This includes both Jag recommended and experience of what to look for in X350s that are now over a decade since the last one was new.
