4 years ago I was sitting in traffic at 6pm... winter, so it was dark. There were two lanes to the left of me, 2 lanes to the right of me. Cars in all lanes and many behind me. As I'm sitting there at a dead stop waiting for the light, the "brain trust" driver in front of me put her car into reverse and starts backing up--I see she isn't stopping and blow the horn, so she backs into me anyway. Pull over and find there's no damage except a cracked vanity plate.

Yesterday, coming home at 4pm, full sun, different intersection but just as many lanes and cars. Old Civic in front of me puts it in reverse and guns it into my front bumper. Completely shocked. Guy gets out, "oh I'm so sorry, that was completely my fault, I didn't see you!" (you didn't see an x350 Jag? Like it's blends in?) As hard as it hit, I was expecting broken parking sensors, cracked bumper cover, etc. Get out and find nothing except a broken vanity plate.

What are the odds this would even happen once to someone, let alone twice, with the same exact result?! I guess I get to add a 2nd one to my collection. Didn't even damage the bracket.

And I was just toying with the idea of having my front bumper repainted and removing the front license altogether. It may be the only thing shielding my car from idiot drivers...

They are built like tanks, a Nissan s u v ran into the drivers door with the right front corner of the Nissan.
The corner was caved in on it, my drivers door at the front fender was dented a little, with some scratches.
Rubber from the tire on the trim took the worst of the hit along the side, it really looked worse than it was
Some small dents along the side, door still works fine, the rubber from the tire cleaned off after the ins estimate.
Don't see it at first glance, never have fixed the damage.
Instead i used the cash to buy parts, to catch up on needed maintenance instead.
