AFAIK, the Arnott kit includes little widgets to plug into the shock connections to fool the ASM into thinking the Bilstein shocks are still there. It is not just a matter of disconnecting them, as this will throw an ASM fault and may cause the engine not to start. Best maybe to contact Arnott on the problem assuming you have the Arnott coilovers.

Hi javigo1971,

I agree with Fraser, you should call Arnott to ask for their help since they are in the best position to have encountered this problem before with other customers. Please let us know what you learn.

Cheers,

Don

Default O,k problem fixed at least for now

O,k so after installing the s type coil overs , disconnect the back seat module ,.i replace the egr valve cause i was having the p0400 code on the check engine light....(this was done after disconecting tha back module)..
i try to start the car and nothing ,.( i forgot to disconnect the battery while doing all this ) all the lights of the christmas tree came on ,. with all kinds of fault codes from everywere ...so i got scare no crank nothing just lights ,,,, so i disconnect the battery for a good 2 hrs to see if the computer would read that the ASM was deleted or something ...same thing nothing ,all lights again with all the codes that i didnt have before ...,,,,finally i grab my scanner and erase all the codes before atemting to start and vouala !!! it did star with no codes lights or engine lights so i went for a ride a few miles all good so far after 30 or so mnts driving ..thanks forum for all ur help..
the ride its nice felt like my old mercedes CLK 320 with sport suspension i,m gona change the green ones i have to black ones standard ride for a little more softer ride...
