Is a CD player from a regular xj8 radio compatible with a Nav radio ?

Is a CD player from a regular xj8 radio compatible with a Nav radio ?
I traded in my '04 xj8 for an '07 xj8- but the new car doesn't have the
6 CD player in the trunk. The dealer offered to "try to" swap my old CD player
to the new car "if it's compatible to the Nav radio". I have a funny feeeling
he's going to tell me at the last minute he can't do it and keep the CD player
Does anyone know if the switch is possible? Does an '04 Jag CD player connect
to an 07 Navi radio?
