hi all, this might sound crazy,but when the weather is warm,or hot (in the uk) the rear drivers door dont lock with the remote or by hand.
when it's cold,or wet the car locks fine with all four doors.

short of stripping the door down, any advice ,ideas as to what the problem could be.

Most likely the lock actuator. When the weather is hot parts expand so there in may be your problem, expanded parts binding. I would give it a shot of WD-40 and see if this frees it up.

have given the door lock a good coat of WD40,and all the springs ,levers, everything,but changing the motor,still as not changed the outcome.

ok when cold wont lock when hot.
