Default Change Engine air Filter and cabinet

Does anyone have a youtube link or manual (with photos) to help me change the engine air filter myself, the dealership wants to charge me $113.00, also if there is a cabin air filter that is easy to change. Sorry I am more of a visual learner then text.

Any material, visual is best for me, to help me save a few dollars to changes these filters.

Thank you

the cabin filter is extremely simple. Open the plastic flap just forwards of the windscreen on the passenger side. You will see a cavity filled with bits of leaf and dead flies. Clean them out. Clean out the water drain hole and pour some water down. Sponge the cavity clean. The filter carrier then pulls forwards and out.

The engine air filter box has been specially designed so that it is very easy to open when lying on the designer's desk, and impossible to open when it is in the car. You can loosen the clips at the outboard end, and the lid will lift slightly at that end. The inboard end will not lift but will pivot. Like a gynaecologist, you slip your fingers into the small gap and grasp the filter; lift it out, insert the new filter into the the same small gap.

The reason the lid does not lift, is that the inboard end is retained by curved lugs, and you can't tilt it enough for these lugs to come out of their slots. If you force it off you cannot get it back on the curved lugs. This can be addressed by using a dremel or similar to cut the curved lugs short, after removing the lid. There is a utube link on here somewhere.
You can get the lid off by removing the trunking from the filter so the lid can be pivoted enough. This is probably why the dealer charges so much.

If you do remove the lid, you can clean out the filter box and, if you wish, de-rust and paint the valve on the forward side of the box. With the lid off you can satisfy yourself that the filter is correctly seated.
