Cleaning Engine Compartment
Hi,
I have owned my 2004 XJ8 since January, and have driven it about 6,000 miles. What a fabulous car. The world's fastest living room. Beautiful inside and out.
I would appreciate a little advice on two issues:
1. Leather maintenence: cleaners etc.
2. Cleaning the engine compartment without shorting anything out. Water and electronics don't play well together.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom, Welcome, yes the cars are great and the way they keep your attention too.
1. Seats, Obviously , keep sun off and insides cool where practical. Clean up any liquid spills or avoid them altogether. Who needs to drink and drive
I use a combination of Gliptone Cleaner and conditioner. Gliptone
2. I do not like to spray mutch in the engine bay but prefer to wipe down with a rag and some windex or simple green cleaner.
Others will have other opinions in cleaning each I am sure.
