Does anyone know what products to use for keeping the wood veneer in pristine condition.

Pledge or Scotts Liquid Gold. Actually, you can wax the wood with car polish-wax too, but I like the lemon smell of Pledge and it is quicked to treat.

Many thanks. I use autoglym on the paint, so I will try that. I am not sure that I can get Pledge or Scots Liquid Gold in France.

You must be able to find something similar and I would chose it before going with auto wax even though auto wax is totally fine and safe

O.k, I will wait until a friend of mine visits the UK next month as I am not sure what the French equivalent would be. I like the idea of a nice fresh lemon smell.

Many thanks mosesbotbol

We have just found the Pledge lemon, it's called Pliz in France. Made by Johnson

I am brand new to Jaguar ownership, so I could be completely wrong here. However, it looks to me that the wood veneer is covered with a very thick layer of plastic. Wouldn't Windex be just as effective? I don't think there is an issue with damaging the wood or even damaging a "varnish". But again, please put me in my place if necessary because I want to use the right thing on my car as well!

Plastic polish
A product used commonly for motorcycle windscreens.
Plexus.
Meguiars plastic polish.
Pledge works fine but leaves a slight smudge.
All good.

I occasionally chamois it with clean water. Then plexus.
