Default Code P0171

Gooday, I'm oats from Botswana owning an x350 jaguar v6 and my problem here is performance..I diagonised the cat and I'm getting code P0171 and I'm not sure if it's the fuel filter, flow plugs or something else...it does take off sometimes it does and when it reaches a certain stage it doesn't and the refs will be fluctuating..what might be the cause

Code received

Its not very easy to read the fault codes on your first picture.
Would be nice if you could type them in here. I see a fault code regarding cam postion sensor and this could typically cause the engine to go into limp mode. Then it will be low an performance and the idle will fluctuate
p.s I like your rims, what kind of brand and model is that?

I removed the glow plugs just now but I found out that 2 of the plugs were affected by water since I once cleaned the engine..now when I press the accelerater the engine light blinks but when I press gently it doesn't...

Last week I cured a Vauxhall Corsa D that had this fault along with a really rough idle. It was the Purge Control Valve and it only cost £20.

Petrol doesn't have glow plugs, does it?

Did you mean spark plugs?

Blinking (flashing) MIL = severe misfires, doing actual catalyst damage - DO NOT KEEP DOING THAT

There are many threads about P0171 - follow them
