Default Coolant tank connection leak

2004 xjr, i recently replaced the overflow coolant tank, the upper small outlet had cracked off. Well everything was fine with the new tank for a couple months and today i got a low coolant warning. The tank was about half full still. Im pretty sure the leak is comming from the larger hose at the bottom of the tank. The connection drips when i push the plastic connector tighter against the tank fitting. The snap ring is attached correctly. Is there an O Ring inside this hose? Thats the only thing i can think of that would be causing it to leak if its connected correctly?

Yes there is a fairly substantial O ring. Took me quite a bit of force to get the bottom "spout" of the coolant tank to go in all the way to the "cup" on the hose. It is easy to push in the clip on the cup without proper seating of the spout in the cup.
