The correct way to get an air suspension fault...
I didn't have to test any lines or individual shocks themselves...that's the good news. Now, I need to buy a replacement Arnott...unless someone has a used, good OEM air shock. Anyone? PM me

Hi H20boy,
Have you confirmed that the air spring bladder is also punctured? The photo shows a hole in the corrugated gaiter, but that's just a dust cover. The air bladder is inside, and if I'm not mistaken, much of it is covered by that metal sleeve. If you can identify a hole in the air bladder, I and others here would be grateful for some closeup photos showing the damage.
Thanks!
Don

Hi H20boy,
Just curious, another shock with a blown hole, does that happen after going over some heavy road bumps or does it just happy at any time? Sure would be nice to have it taken apart so we all can see how it is constructed inside.

A couple days prior, I hit a teeth-rattling pothole, and prior to that, a transition of new pavement in a construction zone that was very abrupt...enough that I 'puckered' after doing each...just waiting for my nose to dive. As Fraser theorized, I think the bladder leaked inside the gaiter and eventually blew out the front as the pic shows. That explains why the car could be driven for a couple trips after before this happened. I'll see if I can get a pic behind the gaiter when I pull it from the car this week upon the new Arnott arrival.
