Question difficult to start after long drive

Hi,
It seems that every time I go on a long drive and turn of the car, I have problems starting it again. It catches and then dies unless I give it some gas for a few seconds until it settles down. It doesn't happen if I drive around town.
I saw something that a throttle body cleaning will help - anyone have any other ideas?

/Mike
Btw. got a very nice 31.2mpg driving from Dallas to Austin (~200 miles) this past weekend - not bad for a V8 :-)

Not sure if it is relevant to your situation but there was a TSB issued for the 2006-2009 4.2 X350 titled '4.2L NA Hot-Soak Re-Start Issues' (JTB00268).

'The customer may report a rough engine start or stall following hot soak of 20 to 30 minutes.'

The issue was caused by 'Fuelling calibration not robust for the market winter blend 10% ethanol fuel.'

The fix was to update the ECU firmware.
