Disconnected battery and closed trunk

Disconnected battery and closed trunk
I did this before and opened with a key. Was stiff and key stuck in lock. Now it slides in and out fine. Just does not open trunk.
Can hear a light clunk as it is turned. Before does not like it is actuating a lock.
Key is good, have used to open drivers door.
I remember seeing where to jumper under the hood to connect a charger to allow unlocking. But cannot find the thread.
