Ford did wonders with Jaguar and actually worked closely with British designers creating something like the AC Cobra legend imo. TATA have ruined the mark imo, it's a shame JCB didn't buy the company.

I remember seeing Jags in the States and while they look great and sexy most cars in the States are 'big' already so Jags don't stand out a whole lot until you get closer.

Here in Europe most cars are small so over here a saloon Jag looks 'big', beautiful and sails around the roads like a yacht (grace, space and pace ), old Jags just look amazing in central London for example.

I still get quite a few comments some good some bad no accounting for taste I always say LOL
Although not many X350's or 358's in my area plenty of older ones not many current shape XJ's either

I just pulled my XJR6 out of the garage after 6 months the X350 is light years ahead considering the X300 model was the first true ford jaguar and the X358 is the last of the ford cars an end of an era

The Tata era cars are no problem the guy that owns Tata has given jaguar carte blanc and no Tata parts to be used anywhere not like the ford XJ's just look at the XE no Mondeo floor pan there LOL

the new V6 is a beauty especially in S/C form wonder if they will put the V8 into the XE yes please
That will be a M3 basher and will be the new C 63 replacement considering Benz has Gone turbo and lost the glorious V8 burble the main reason so many C63's where sold in the first place

I am driving it to Tasmania on the 16th Jan the XJR6's final resting place the guy in Tassie is not well and still cant travel he has paid me for the car 6 months ago only now having the time to take it down to him

I could have sent it on a truck but I am giving him all my old spare parts from my 93 XJ and the X300 XJR6 none of them fit the X350 except the oil filters he is in the Tassie Jaguar club and a bit of a tinkerer so the parts are going to a good home as is the car

Looking at the new jaguars the new XJ is beautiful yes it does not look like the previous models that in my opinion makes it pretty Ian callum is the new Malcolm sayer just look at the new XE

I actually look forward to getting a new shape XJ mainly because they finally made the interior bigger someone might be able to sit behind me when I drive and I can actually get a drivers seat that goes back far enough

Not only that look at how our cars depreciate they are going to be good value really soon

I think I'll let the first 2 or 3 owners catch all that depreciation and I'll just enjoy the car LOL

Oh yes. On several occasions since I bought mine three weeks ago. Was parked in front of Robie House (at the University of Chicago) recently and two grad students walked by and said, "Beautiful car!" No one can believe it's a 2004.
