Does 275/35/20 fit on XJ8? Staggered Senta Wheels
Hey guys i just bought an 04 XJ with 40k miles, just bought a set of 20" Staggered Sentas from this guy last week. Installed it yesterday with 255/35/20 tires on the front and 275/35/20 on the back, but i've had a lot of rubbing on the back tires after going over even the smallest bump on the road.. What do u guys suggest I do to make them fit? Can it be solved with going to a 255 (like the front, even though they are barely larger on the back) or a 265? Or do I need to also reduce the rear height of the tire to 30 instead of 35.. Fronts fit fine.. I'd appreciate the help guys..
Offset is wrong on the rears as well as width, you need another pair of front sentas then you will be able to fit 285 30s under the rear arches ( I have the 285s on cremonas at the moment with no scrubbing whatsoever. Hope that helps.
I have 275/35/19's on the rear of mine and 245/40/19's on the front no problems
With those tyres your speedometer will be out if you have a GPS unit you can calculate by how far then use this calculator Visual Tyre Size Calculator | Kouki Tech to see what tyres you will need to get your speedometer right again
I have found that if your speedometer is reading 6 k,s over 1.7 percent larger tyre will compensate

Yes you will have the wrong offset on the back.
The early X150 XK's had a narrower rear axle so the rear wheels were a lower offset to compensate. This changed with the later X150's so the offset was the same as the XF & XJ
No doubt the rear wheels you have are around ET35, you need ET49, that 14mm difference, is a big difference...

[Hello
i have the staggered sentas on my xf 250. I used same tyre all 4 wheels. Not a problem. I used 255's all round. But was told. Using 2Usingon back would give me issues. So i just put 255 and perfect
