On my way home from British Car Day in Oakville yesterday and my LH front power window failed to close. Fortunately it was a nice sunny afternoon so driving home was OK.


Took a look this morning found a drive cable rusted out. As with all modern cars one is required to buy a whole assembly.


This job is reasonably easy and the Service Manual instructions are easy to follow and they work.

That's the XJ.
There were about 12 acres of Jaguar cars! I have not seen the total number of cars attending but I understand it was a record number.

My driver's side front power window is working again. I bought a used window regulator, with motor, from ebay for $71US including shipping and all customs charges .Took about 1 hr to install . Once again the factory manual works well.
