Watch fuel trims, hot engine. Do them as it surges as well as at idle and 2000-2500rpm. Could be an air leak but either way you need data it seems to me.

For over 100 years, mechanics have blamed 'the fuel' rather than admitting they don't know. An excessive amount of butane in gas might (very slight might) have an effect on a carbureted engine in extremely hot weather, but not a fuel injected engine during cool or any other weather.

Understanding the cracking process used in the production of fuel may give you a better understanding. Butanes, propanes and other lighter products created during the cracking process are re-introduced as lighter petrochemical additives to heavier stocks in the creation of gasoline.
