I have an '04 XJ8 that was diagnosed w/ a bad EGR valve. I was wondering how much labor is involved - thought this was a remove/replace part and was quoted $832 by my local dealer which seems high. Any insight would be helpful, I'm supposed to call the dealer back tomorrow on this.

 

Alldata shows $279. for the valve and .7 for the time. I don't have my repair disk, lent it to my brother-in-law, so I can't describe the removal and installation info. Good luck George.
