I don't know if anyone else has had this issue (I did search first), My 2004 VDP has the factory installed radio in the ashtray, it was working fine for a while then it just stopped, the screen froze with just the logo showing, the buttons don't work ,I can only cut it on and off. Sirius just say get a new radio. My question is should I just replace with newer unit or do I have any other options.

Any advice will be welcomed.

I have the same issue in my '06. My unit responds to button presses but never shows any signal strength for "TER". I get a strong signal for "SAT" but because I get no "TER" signal I can't activate the radio.

Apparently these units are now discontinued, so I'm not sure how I could replace it with a different radio because it looks like the original one is embedded into the panel.

 

Oh well.

 

Mrreason, were you able to solve this problem? Mine started doing the same thing.
