Finally found tray tables & heated seats!!!
Do every since I purchased my car, or shortly after I'd say, I have been on the hunt for the rear picnic table as well as heated seats; I really hate i wasn't part of the forum before purchasing, being I'd known a LOT more of what to look for I the beginning; all I knew is that I wanted an XJ8-L, not realizing/knowing that the VDP was an L model, & I knew abso-farkin-lutely NOTHING about the PORTFOLIO!
Anyways, I just grabbed these babies today!!!

Congrats Marque. I hear you on the forum comment. I was on another forum and it doesn't have much info on and Jags newer than X300. This forum is outstanding.

V'welllll,,,,,,,,, the seats are in!!!!!!!!
The color match was great!!! & he did end up painting the piping, being it'd been a LOT more cumbersome trying to tape up the piping when doing the dye, but it looks great!!! I'm happy. Got my TRAY tables, piping, heated seats!!!

yes they can, but if you have a LWB, they are a long way from the passengers, so they will need long arms

Finally found tray tables & heated seats!!!
V'welllll,,,,,,,,,, I'm totally complete now after just getting the seller to come down on the initial prices of $145 + $90 shipping on the top rear, & $125 + $90 shipping on the bottom rear. I ordered some dye from a eBay store called "SEATS RESTORE" that was the perfect match. (SEL/CHAMPAGNE) to do some touch up work on the front seats; when they got dyed from NED/IVORY to my color, he had no way to let the bottom cushion all the way out, so it was still IVORY colored on that portion, but of course it could only be seen when the bottom cushion was fully out; so I corrected that, along with a few spots/holes on my door panel. 100% match on the panels, & 98% match on the dyed seats.
Anyways, I figured instead of paying $500 to get the rear seats dyed, I'd pay $69 for the dye & do it myself!..
I'll post those once I get around to doing it!..

V'welllll,,,,, I bought some Pinstripe that really looks pretty good, so I'm gonna put it on tomorrow. I was gonna buy the door trims & Airbag trim just for the Gold inlay, but then thought about it, & said,,,,, "fark that".. Pinstripe is gonna work perfectly I think!..
I'll post the look of it one done. Also, my rear seats will be here tomorrow! I'll probably start on the seats as far as the dye, but my Air brush gun won't be here till Monday I think... But I'll do as much as I can for now in terms of prep; I have some leather filler, so I'll start on the bottom cushion because there's a few spots that need some love!..
I'll be posting as it comes!..

I dyed my 86 VDP after stripping the old dye off. I think I sprayed about 10 coats if I'm recalling correctly. I used a heat gun between coats and I did have to sand off some overspray on a coat or two. All told, it was quick work once the prepping was done. Have fun. Can't wait for the pics.

I'm prepping now Sean. ADX & SEL are really close on color, so it'll definitely be a breeze (should be)
Here's some prep work, as the bottom cushion was EXTREMELY dirty!!! I've got it pretty clean, & getting ready to do some leather filling in a few spots...

V'welllll,,,,,,,,,, All done with the exception of painting the front seats Mocha Piping. The company I had to do the front seats, kept saying how he couldn't protect the piping, & had to spray it along with the seats; he painted the piping Brown; so NOW that I KNOW how & what to do (wish I'd done the front now), I ordered the MOCHA AMB dye, & will spray the front piping myself!..
As you see on the back seats, I was able to tape the piping up very neatly; so they came out great!!! The only SUCK part is that my car has NO wiring on the rear for heated seats, & on top of that, my clamp on 1 side of the top rear seat seems to be stuck, meaning I can't get the seat back out!!!

Thanks for reminding me Sean; I really did mean to post that earlier (most of what you mentioned/I would've left out temp/inside etc)
But here's the products I grabbed, all from my fave store "eBay".. (I did order the AMB MOCHA dye from the Furniture clinic though)
The dye is from "SEATSRESTORE"..
I used regular sponges (from Wal-Mart) & a MF applicator.
Once I got a good spread, I sprayed it (bottom cushion, I sprayed in my dining room @Home temp! Hahaha)
The top rear, I did that the same way, but actually in the car...
You have to be careful with the MF applicator, because the fibers can come off as you're putting it on...
