I just bought a 2004 XJR and noticed the left (driver side) fog light lens is shattered/broken. Light still comes on but I want to replace it. Two questions:

1) where is the best place to buy a replacement fog light (online)?

2) how do I remove the fog light? How do I access the mounting screws etc? Is there a video or a link someone can share?

 

For a new housing you could try Parts Geek. I pretty sure its less than the dealer.

And if you want to upgrade the light output, upgrade to HID bulbs.

It makes a huge difference. My fog lights now put out more light than the HID low beams. The low beam may not be as bright because they have dimmed over time, so I plan to upgrade the low beams next with quality new D1S bulbs and change out the lens with a clear lens. I would have got a clear lens for my fog lights but couldn't find one 2".

 

Thanks, is it possible to replace a broken lens our do I need to replace the whole housing?

How do I access the fasteners to remove the housing?

 

I fitted a replacement foglight ages ago and from memory I think all I did was to unclip the plastic piece next to the foglight, this exposed a fixing screw, I undid that and then as I pulled the light forward and sideways it came unhooked from the other end. There was just an electric plug to disconnect. Then fitting the replacement ( about £45 from ebay ) was the reverse.
