Default Fraser's XJ6 Sport

Picture of new Jaguar at Highley Station, Severn Valley Railway on a rather dreary 2nd May afternoon now in the Photo Gallery.

How do I get pics in an individual post, may I ask ?

Go advanced fraser, then use the attach icon (paperclip icon) and add your .jpg file, one at a time.

Once you've got them uploaded, right click on each thumbnail, "copy link location", then insert into your post with the IMAGE icon, looks like a yellow envelope above the text box, then you're pics will be bigger. Good luck!

Yea, I found the link, but my pics are around 2 Mb Jpegs, not 19 Kb like the limits on the loading page.

Surely they are like postage stamps at the defined sizes ?

well, they get alot of compression at that 19.5KB size, but the overall size can remain the same.

On your computer, (if you have a program) reduce them in size to about 800 pixels on the longest end, then save-as .jpg with settings set to about 25% compression. That'll get your size down to a few hundred k and allow you to upload. The system will compress further to get the size down to the maximum.

Ye Gods, it worked !! What it doesnt tell you is it automatically puts in a thumbnail which is then clickable to view. So how come I see some posts with the whole picture straightaway (and larger too) ?

Wow Fraser - She is drop dead Gorgeous! I very much like the blacked window trim. Wish mine had that. The colour is spectacular! wheels, perfect.

I covet your car!

Hi Stevetech

Today car is covered in dust after overnight rain, which has dumped Iceland volcano dust onto the car, so it's wash time tomorrow.

As a Sport model, the only chromes are the 1/4 bumper trims. You will see all this when I can get pics shot, but front radiator grill surround and rear number plate plinth is body colour. The black side trims are very highly polished black and nice to make shine. Interior trim & leather colour is what I don't know but a light creamy sort of colour, with grey wood which I think is birds eye maple, but I'm not sure. Is there a list/pictures of the trim options for these cars anywhere, because the Jaguar website only has the new XJ from 2010 on it.

Wheels are Sepang 20" and I have already scraped one on the kerb; it's a big car !!

Went out today in wifes VW New Beetle (in bright yellow), as it needs a good run up to speed after pottering around Crewe all week at 30 mph or less.

So here are the other cars, (non Jaguar)

Youve definately got the best car in the car park
Been to Crewe myself...this was on way home (before Quads and later grille) from an X-type seminar at the Jaguar factory at Castle Bromwich, Birmingham and staying at Travelodge...Duke of Gloucester (pronounced Gloster NOT Glos-ces-ter to all from USA) pub beside Travelodge does strong beer...if I remember its around 8% then into town for a curry and back to the pub to see how many more pints I could down..HIC

I find the easiest way to make a picture smaller is to open your outlook express, attach the picture to an email, when it asks to keep the picture he same size or make it smaller.. cjhoose smaller.. once it is loaded on the email left click and drag it wherever you want to keep it and rename it so you know which one is the compressed version.. takes me 15 seconds vs opening a program and fiddling with sizes...

Yes, we know how to say Gloucester...we have our own Wochester right here stateside as practice so we don't mispronounce anything if we don't want to; however, we only mispronounce and misspell words as passive-aggressive behavior, so that we can remain a constant aggravation to our British brothers....LOL!

BTW - Parking the way you do in the pics, here isnthe US will guarantee a door ding of sizeable substance. And, it will come from the Escalade or the King Cab that will park on your left in the last picture and he is going to stay in his lines! - LOL!
