Front End / Air Shocks

Front End / Air Shocks
Hi all -
Just a couple <early morning> comments about our wonderful cars....
1. I got a 69k XJ8 base back in Sept. Within a few weeks, and cooler temps, I noticed the dreaded RPM hunting under light load. I ended up getting a new, dealer-installed torque converter (under a used car warranty!!!!) Drives simply amazing now. Talk about fortunate. $$$.
2. Wondering about the state of it's air suspension. All appears tip-top at the moment. It looks like the front shocks were updated at some point by PO. Under the hood, the tops of the shocks are clean, aluminum and have the cute little cone hats. Looking at pics on Arnott's site, these look like their new ones, as opposed to the rebuilt units that have a flat top.
3. I have a somewhat rough entrance to my driveway, which causes some mild suspension geometry angles when entering. After leveling out in garage, and powering down, I hear a hissing air release, and notice the car lowering itself a bit - back to a normal height. I'm guessing the rough entry caused it to raise a bit, and it's normalizing itself. Anyone else have such behavior?
Safe motoring!
