Have a quick question that I am curious to find an answer to:
My 2006 XJ Vanden Plas came from the factory with the vane or finned style front grille design. However, all of the original 2006 promotional materials that I have come across and all of the 2006 VDP's that I have seen on the road feature a mesh grille design.
Might this have been because Jaguar had leftover manufactured grille's from the 2004/2005 model year and wanted to use up for the initial 2006 orders.
Again, not a big deal - just want to satisfy my curiosity.
Thanks - Michael

Maybe it was involved in an accident during transport?

My dealer told me the 06s switched to the mesh grille of the XJR, however I too thought all VDP had the fluting on top...maybe it was just on the trunk molding by then?

Indeed - in 1990 my mother bought a new Buick and I made sure the dealer switched the wire wheels for the alloys from a nearby Touring pkg model Originally Posted by hlgeorge
