Default Gearbox to weak?

I have an XJR 2004 and consider tuning it. There are numbers of tuning companies who offer +60-70bhp and a torque of 630Nm. The problem is that ZF specify max torque to 600Nm for 6HP26. I have red that it's weak point are it's internal shafts. There are companies who change to stronger shafts. I can imagine it cost a fortune. Therefore I'm thinking of swapping to a 6hp32 instead. This can handle up to 1000Nm. I don't know anything about this, it's just a thought.

Does anyone here know? Is this swap possible? Does it fit mechanically? Are there other problems?

Please excuse my bad English!

Best Regards
Göran

Not likely that you can build that XJR to a level that will harm the ZF transmission. If your interested you can do some searches and see we don't have a lot of ZF failures and none because of too much power.

Is it possible? Yes and there are some upgrade parts you could add to your 6 speed if you wanted.
Here is a complete HD rebuild but they do not list HP levels?
HD ZF 6 Speed Transmission

This outfit is in OZ and has different levels all the way up to 1200 N-M.

ZF Rebuilt Transmission

They also mention the "ZIP" kit which will improve the valve body. Also Sonnex has some improvements out that might be interesting?
Sonnex Upgrade Parts

Since ZF licensed the 6 speed to Ford who made their own version there are a TON of upgraded parts and with many Mustangs pushing 1000+ HP there is demand for these types of transmissions.
The sky is the limit along with your pocket book!
